ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Miss Burrows and I’ve been working for Multiflex just over 5 years! I joined Multiflex because I wanted to explore dance in a primary school setting and possibly help future dancers! I was able to take the opportunity to join Multiflex because I was studying my diploma, and wanted some primary school teaching experience along the way.

I cover the dance side of things in Multiflex, I deliver curriculum based lessons covering technique, facial expression and rhythm. We generally stick to street dance and our main goal is to ensure the children leave lessons feelings energised and positive! We also cover fundamental movements and pay really close attention to ensuring the confidence levels in our children develop each week. We really do strive to ensure each child gets the most out of their dance lessons and guide them to reaching their potential!

During my time at Multiflex, I’ve been trained to cover other areas of sport too, such as basketball, tennis, gymnastics and much more!

My main achievement is running my own dance school “Impulse Dancers” for the past 8 years. Working for Multiflex has given me the flexibility to work during the day in the line of work I enjoy, and still be able to teach and manage my own school. Also, both jobs have really gone hand in hand as I’ve been lucky enough to help our students on their dance journey, as they’ve enjoyed the lessons that much, they’ve decided to join my dance school! It’s been extremely rewarding seeing all our students go from strength to strength, and having that extra training outside of school has given them a huge confidence boost, it’s extremely gratifying to see them show off their talent in school too!

During my time as a teacher, I’ve choreographed set pieces for fashion shows in leeds, opening numbers for “shine a light ball” in Manchester and choreographed and directed numerous shows. Further to this, I have choreographed for my students to take part in competitions across the north west and they’ve been very successful. My older students have gone on to join very prestigious dance colleges and my younger students are well on their way to professional work.
