SPORTS COACH

ABOUT ME

Hi I’m Mr Rowland, since finishing college in 2017 I joined the Multiflex Team and haven’t looked back. In this time, I’ve progressed from Assistant Coach to working as a School Manager over in Congleton. This has involved helping to deliver their P.E. Curriculum, developing assistant coaches and covering their extra curricular activities.

As a follower of many different sports, right from a young age I knew coaching was something I wanted to be involved in. Playing football for local grassroots teams I gained friendships that are still going strong today and developed my personality in a way that has made me a confident outgoing person.  With this in mind its my belief that through sport and exercise we can develop children in all aspects of their life encouraging personal challenge and growth, this is why I love doing my job so much.

Knowing I wanted a career in sport I’ve gained various qualifications through school and college which afforded me the basic coaching knowledge I needed to start in the industry. Learning from Mr Webb and achieving many other qualifications from sporting bodies such as the FA, I now teach all areas of the PE curriculum with cricket in the summer being my personal favourite!

Through sport and education I’ve achieved lots that I am proud of. Top of the list however would have to be getting to coach football abroad in Kenya and Norway as teaching my favourite sport to children from all different walks of life and cultures is something I’ve always wanted to do.

When I’m not coaching sports, I like to spend my free time playing it, trying my best not to give the ball away too much for Middlewich Town Football Club on Saturdays and watching the world’s BEST football team, Manchester United win on Sundays.
